Living your life in survival mode and only doing so is not the route you want to take.
Our perception of the world is shaped by what is happening in front of us in the present moment. We move rhythmically through life, almost like robots, programmed by our mental habits. School, work, family, kids, church, home—these routines dominate our lives, with maybe a few other activities sprinkled in. We focus on maintaining what is in front of us and forget to create what lies ahead—our future. And by the time we realize change is needed, the future has arrived, and we’re still in rhythm to the same old beat!
Your future arrives every second, every minute, every hour of every day. Time will keep moving regardless of any changes you make. If your actions remain the same, your world will remain unchanged. Why? Because time itself doesn’t shape your future—you do.
Ask yourself, does the older version of you want to live in the future like you did in the past? I hope not.
Living life in survival mode is a recipe for stagnation. You are merely surviving when you don’t push yourself to follow your passion. You’re surviving when you comfortably struggle to pay the bills. When you repeat the same mistakes repeatedly, you’re surviving. Cling to bad habits you know can harm you; you are in survival mode to the max. Last, you survive when you allow yourself to be easily influenced and distracted by social media. Scrolling mindlessly, comparing endlessly, you forgot you had a future to create. So, when are you going to start living?
You can’t “Live Life to the Fullest” by just “Surviving.”
